Illumination project in Ressano Garcia
Gigawatt Moçambique is committed to reduce the insecurity rate and improving traffic conditions in the village.
The town of Ressano Garcia is characterized by a large population expansion, however, most of the access roads are not yet covered by public illumination, so in these areas the rate of insecurity has increased exponentially, especially at night. The illumination project seeks to reduce the level of insecurity and improve circulation conditions in the village. In the first phase of the project, 42 poles with solar lamps were installed in a stretch of 1.5km, reaching more than two thousand beneficiaries, most of whom are young students and residents of the 25 de Junho neighborhood, who are already feeling the positive impact of the project.
