Ressano Garcia

Ressano Garcia is a border town in Mozambique and the seat of an administrative post in the District of Moamba.

In this location, there are two border posts between Mozambique and South Africa, one by road and the other by rail. The town is crossed by Estrada Nacional nº 4, a highway that connects it to Maputo City and is served by one of the most important railway stations in southern Mozambique.

Ressano Garcia proved to be the ideal location for combining natural gas supply infrastructure with the infrastructure needed to evacuate the generated energy and Gigawatt has been working in close coordination with the Ressano Garcia Administrative Post for the benefit of the region.
